Real Estate Heir Kills Witness - Olivia Lambert 3rd Period

Robert Durst, a millionaire real estate heir, is accused of killing his longtime friend in 2000 for a crime he committed previously. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's court filing didn't reveal the incidents all of the details 15 years ago, so Durst was only accused for first degree murder. Now since police have found out that Durst killed her because she was a witness of a previous crime, he could face a death penalty. His longtime friend he killed, Berman, and his relationship with her was put together in a documentary called "The Jinx." He admitted that he had shot his dismembered neighbor but refused to admit that he committed murder.

This whole crime goes back to the amendent that states the right to bear arms. Long before the amendment was created, weapons and wars were not protected and didn't have punishments. Yet, in this story, Durst had the right to own a gun which initiated the fact that he was allowed to use it. Yet, he used it for an unnecessary reason and wasnt completely honest in the process. Taking someone's life is a huge deal and I think he deserves a death penalty for causing the death of someone who clearly didn't deserve it.
