President Obama Interrupted By George W. Bush For A Picture - Sydney Bridgeforth

Summary

When you are the leader of the free world.....better known as the President of the United States, there are undoubtedly certain perks that come with the job, like flying in your own airplane or being able to skip traffic in your motorcade. Do you think being the leader of the free world exempts you from snapping a picture of someone else every once in a while? On Saturday, following the dedication of the new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture on the National Mall in Washington, former President George W. Bush asked President Barack Obama to snap a picture of him with someone attending the ceremony.
President Obama was shaking hands when Mr. Bush tapped him on the back and made the request. The President happily obliged.

Analysis
The author of this article was Sam Levine for the Huffington Post.  I have not read any prior articles that he has written, but I typically enjoy articles published by the Huffington Post.  This article was written with so much freshness.  I think the arthor intended to make this a light and fresh article.  There is so much divide and tension in our country at the moment, making this article right on time.  It is so great to see the positive coverage of the sitting and former President.  It is so nice to have some positive coverage of political figures.  I hope we can take this moment and try to understand one another better and start getting along.

  2. I think this article is such a nice change from the usual dark and horrific news. I think this article is so funny to see how much the President is like a real person and see their personalities come out!

  3. When I read the story, it really made me smile. It reminds me of something that happened about four days ago. Mel Brooks, a phenomenal comedian, was receiving the 2015 National Medal of Arts, when he decided to prank President Obama, who was presenting the award to him. Brooks pretended to 'pants' Obama, and took the award. Whenever I come across a rare, lighthearted article, It completely brightens up my day. I wish we had more giggles in the world.
