Analysis: The author of this article is Micheal Pearson and he appears to be an unbiased party. This story was written in the height of all of the political disputes over gun control and the recent shootings, giving it an extremely relevant edge. I had no prior knowledge of this event but, I am well aware of all of the gun violence. This article was written for the American public to educate them on a tragic event that could have been prevented with stricter gun laws. This article is significant because it is another example of gun violence in a time where the right to bare arms is up for dispute. This article relates to when our founding fathers were writing the Bill of Rights and included the 2nd amendment as a way to protect themselves, not as a means for destruction.

6-Year-Old shoots Little Brother; Dad Charged - Olivia Browne (Period 6)
A Chicago father who police say illegally bought a gun is facing charges after one of his boys accidentally killed another with the weapon. Michael Santiago, 25, was charged with felony child endangerment after the shooting Saturday in which his 6-year-old accidentally shot his 3-year-old during a game of "cops and robbers." The loaded gun had been wrapped in a pair of pajama pants and stashed on top of the refrigerator. This is a horrifying reminder of the need for gun control/safety.
