A child was lost and found 2 states away thanks to the Amber Alert system. Kind if a stretch but you could say this ties together with the 2nd Great Awakening with all the new inventions that helped the economy, such as the Cotton Gin or the Telegraph system. They being simple and providing. A limited function but all can lead to helping others and lead to a better future; more or less, I'M LOOKING AT YOU COTTON GIN!
It is amazing what our world has evolved into, in terms of technology. Many centuries ago, I bet the second that child was lost, she would have never been found. Also I bet few people besides her family and friends would have been looking for her. Now with technology we can pretty much let the whole world know to look for her.
