There is evidence of a shipwreck from 1937 that might be polluting Lake Erie fr many, many years ago. Responders who flew above it Saturday noticed water discoloration spanning 400 yards, and crews reported smelling the "strong odor of a solvent" on Friday and Saturday, according to the release. They are fairly certain the tank may just now be leaking
This is crazy news, a ship this old is just now raising havoc in the lake? Wow, I didn't think gasoline or oil could be ages this long. It goes to show pollution will always be in the water supply, and we will likely never get rid of it.
