a powerful earthquake strikes south asia, it was centered in northern Afghanistan causing many lives to be lost to such a tragic event. the quake that hit had roughly a 7.5 magnitude that made it so powerful. also its depth was 213.5 and it was 160 miles from the capital Kabul. about 70 were killed and several more wounded with the aftermath of the earthquake. when the earthquake struck that caused the people in school or in a public facility to rush to the nearest exit and find a way out. this had a negative effect because in the process of the people rushing out the door they failed to stop and pay attention to their surroundings leaving many people who fell to get trampled. this caused many deaths and those who fell and didn't get killed were severely injured.
analysis: the people killed lost their lives in a way that i can never imagine the pain of going through something like that. knowing that you are on the floor and you can't get up and that no one is going to help you is an experience i hope and pray that i don't have to go through anything like that. that leaves a person feeling vulnerable knowing they can't do anything about whats happening to them because no one can hear them. at first, we wonder why the people running didnt help them, but the truth is when you feel that your life will end if you don't get out, that is the only thing on your mind. we see awful tragedies where a natural event has shaken nation, an example could be hurricane Katrina that caused many people their homes.

This is so tragic, it's so unfortunate that things like this happen. My thoughts and prayers are with Asia.
