Weekend attacks point to feisty upcoming debate
The next Republic debate in a few days is going to be an interesting one, considering the words of Donald trump this past weekend. On political talk shows, Donald Trump had no reservations when talking about Ben Carson. Trump said he is, "very weak on immigration," when referring to Carson. During these interviews Trump use ad hominem, a political debate technique, to attack Ben Carson, who was not in attendance. Donald Trump said those things in response to the fact the Ben Carson is ahead in Iowa in two polls, one by 8 points and one by 9. Trump appeared very cocky and self- indulged in the interview.
I am personally not one to get too heavily involved in politics, however, as I am becoming a young adult, I realize those topics are important to discuss and be educated on. I will not be able to vote during the 2016 elections, however knowing what is going on in politics will definitely benefit in the near future. Obviously, politics have come a long way since the start of America and I believe we still have a long way to go. As the times change, so should ways of handling the people. I hope for peace and prosperity within our country as the 2016 elections inch closer.
