400 Year Old Church Emerges Alexis Williams
The remains of a 16th century colonial church emerges from a water resevior in Mexico. The churches name is The Temple of Quechula. This part of Mexico where the church is located has been going theough a drought which causes the water levels to drop, reveling this church The church has been 100 ft underwater ever since 1966.It has emerged before in 2002 when water levels drpped so low that people could actually go inside of it.
It's 183 ft long,42 ft wide, and reaches 48ft high. It was belived to be buil by Spanish colonists in 1564.but abandoned after a plague hit the area in 1773.This connects with the Spanish rule when they traveled to the new world. This Temple was probably used forconverting natives or even just for common worship. Going by this resevior to see this Temple just gives this world alook into the past so that we can see a little of what the Spanish saw back in history.
