There has been six major wildfires burning in the state of California. It has been reported that more than 1,000 structures have been destroyed. The fire originally stated as a brush fire but is now raging and is larger than New York City. Winds and dry conditions have caused the fires to burn and spread. This is being called the Thomas Fire and is the fifth largest wildfire in the history of California.

This is so devastating. I can't imagine watching my house being destroyed by a fire. Many people are fleeing for their lives and no longer have a home to go back to.
