Ellie Bush current event

Peter Martins, the longtime leader of the New York City Ballet, has been removed from teaching his weekly class at the School of American Ballet while the two organizations jointly investigate an accusation of sexual harassment against him. The accusation against Martins was made through an anonymous letter. The school said that “The safety and well being of our students is our absolute priority.”

This is very disappointing to hear, especially at the same time as some USA gymnasts have come forward about Larry Nassar who has sexually abused many young girls in the gymnastics sport. There are very many child predators out there, and it’s very important that we know the signs of someone who has the intention of doing these things, because they typically are very good at their job and can manipulate you into believing that what They are doing is right.

Wow this is really sad. Peter Martins is such a prominent figure in the dance community. I like the comparison you made to USA Gymnastics. I also like that SAB and NYCB are focusing on the safety and well being of their students. I do hope that these situations come to an end soon.
