NYC attempted bombing-Ashley Mendoza

Because of the recent bombing attempt in New York City, President Trump is calling for tighter immigration laws. Akeyed Ullah who claims he was acting in accordance to ISIS, he shows no previous criminal record. "Today's attempted mass murder attack in New York city--the second terror attack in 2 months--again highlights the urgent need for congress to enact legislative reforms to protect the American people,"says the President. He criticizes the lax immigration system and that "those engaging in terrorism deserve the strongest penalty allowed by law, including the death penalty in appropriate cases."He also believes that the democrats have failed to take action.
I don't agree with this one reason being why make immigration stricter when they can just strengthen security methods and processes. And the other being that tightening immigration laws will make it harder for prosecuted individuals to flee and seek safety in countries such as this one.Trump shouldn't be blaming the lack of security on democrats and should be looking for a way to strengthen airport security.
