Two boys arrested, accused of putting poison in teacher's water bottle Ilana Lemack

Two New York City fourth-graders were arrested Tuesday after allegedly putting poison in a teacher's water bottle, police said. The two boys, ages 9 and 12, allegedly poisoned the teacher's water Monday afternoon, causing her to feel nauseated the next day. She was treated by her doctor and is now in good condition. The poison is being tested in a lab to determine its content, but it appears to be rat poison, police said. Both boys have been charged with attempted second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

Question #1. How is there a 9 year old in fourth grade AND a 12 year old in fourth grade?
Question #2. How do fourth graders get ahold of poison, even if it is just rat poison?
it is good that they got in trouble so they get a taste of the real world and what could potentially happen.

  1. Well this is disturbing. I really hope this trend of kids hurting their teachers goes away.

  2. I would just like to know how they are so sure of a 9 and 12 year old doing this. It all seems kinda sketchy if you ask me.
