Chipotle bans guns Peyton Wilson 5th period

Chipotle is asking customers not to bring firearms into its restaurants after gun-rights advocates brought assault-style weapons into a downtown Dallas store during the weekend.
The Mexican fast-food company, based in Denver, said Monday evening that it has traditionally complied with local firearms laws, but that "the display of firearms in our restaurants has now created an environment that is potentially intimidating or uncomfortable for many of our customers."
"Because of this, we are respectfully asking that customers not bring guns into our restaurants, unless they are authorized law enforcement personnel," the statement said.

Response:
I completely understand the second amendment, but I just don't see the practicality of bringing a gun into Chipotle. Yes, better safe than sorry, and you should always be prepared and expect the unexpected, but to bring a gun to a friendly, neighborhood Mexican food chain  just to bring your gun seems a bit absurd. I 100% agree with their decision to ban firearms based on maintaining a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere for the rest of the patrons. And if you just have to bring your precious, baby pistol wherever you go, why not keep it in your purse, jacket pocket, or some other place where it isn't visible?

I think its great that chipotle is taking a stand because most of the time people are just bringing guns to bring them nothing is really making them bring it in. I feel like if you really want to eat there you need to follow their rules
