Pilot dies during American Airlines flight: Samantha Arthur (1st period)

An American Airlines pilot got sick while navigating a flight to New York and died in the cockpit. A passenger named Frank Cacciola says, "Whatever happened in the cockpit, none of us will know." There were 147 passengers on the airplane and 5 crew members on Flight 550; the plane took off at approximately midnight. No one has heard anything past the fact that the pilot took ill and died.

The fact that no one knows further information than the pilot grew sick and died makes the entire situation a bit fishy. Of course, there were most likely no 9-11 parallels, but our nation is still quite sensitive when it comes to planes and horrific events. A pilot dying mid-air is one of the least comforting things to hear in the middle of a plane-sensitive time period.

  1. Good thing they got home safe. Very suspicious though.

  2. I am so thankful they got on the ground safely. The co pilot kept a cool head and safely landed the plane. The reason nothing else was released was because of the contracts that pilots sign with the airlines.. I don't see anything suspicious really

  3. Flying is honestly so scary because your life is in one persons hands and it can be very risky. It's a great thing they landed safely
