Qiaunci Jones- A tale of two students who got into every Ivy League school

Martin Altenburg and Kwasi Enin both got accepted into every Ivy League School. However, they were raised completely difference. One was raised with strict parents & the other more carefree.  The black male, Kwan Enin had the strict parents who encouraged him to have good grades. While Martin Altenburg, a white male, lived a more hands off lifestyle whose parents never pushed him.

Congrats to both of them but I don't get why they put them together. Like why is us a big shock that a black male gets accepted to every Ivy League school. I just don't think they had a specific reason for comparing the two because the way the article is written it's basically saying Martin shouldn't of gotten in because he didn't work as hard but he still did while Kwan had to work hard for it. This too much. This can be related to desegregation of schools because without that, I doubt black people would have the opportunity to go to such schools regardless of academic achievements.
