Isabella Bruner-Family of Facebook-killing victim Robert Godwin: We forgive suspect Steve Stephens

Yesterday, a 74-year-old man with the name of Robert Godwin, was killed. He was a father of 10 and a grandfather of 14. But, instead of the family being angry or upset at the killer, they posted on Facebook that they forgive the killer. The killer is proposed to be Steve Stephens, 37 years old, as he is put on nationwide's FBI's 10 Most Wanted List." To the young man who murdered my daddy. I ask that you please surrender. I forgive you and love you, but most importantly, God loves you . God can heal your mind and save your soul." says Godwin-Baines. The family also announced a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest.

This article, written by Matthew Diebel on April/18/2017, talks about the shooting of a 74 old man on Easter. I think this article is so bizarre to me. I thought it would just be another murder and we would feel bad for the family and friends regarding the issue. But, the family already forgives the killer, and it hasn't even been a full day. Some people are just so genuinely nice, you can't help ,but feel worse. If you can imagine what Stephens must feel, being forgive for his actions, that are so horrible and cruel. This article sheds a light on the people who just try to live life with a smile, even with the hardest challenges they have to face.

  1. Forgiving such a person is extremely hard, and the fact that they have already just shows how great people can be. But I still don't know what Stephens could feel at this moment.
