Ava Noble: Hash Brown Recall

SUMMARY: It was reported that the frozen hash browns made b y the Roundy’s and Harris Teeter brands have contained pieces of golf balls in them. They believe they go harvested with the potato’s used to make the hash browns. This is an extremely dangerous choking hazard. So far, no injuries have been reported. In Illinois and Wisconsin, McCain Foods recalled all 2-pound bags of Roundy’s Brand Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns. In North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Florida, Maryland, Georgia, and Delaware. If you receive one of these bags of hash browns that are recalled, return them to the place you purchased it or throw it away.

ANALYSIS: Because this article was posted on CNN,  I can trust that the facts presented in the article are true. I have no heard of this recall before reading this article. It reminds me of the Blue Bell recall that happened recently because people got sick from the ice cream. I think it is very important that they posted this article to make the public aware of this recall. People could easily die from the plastic in their hash browns. I am hoping everyone stays safe and out of the danger from the hash browns!
