Maggie Gibson Fox news drops Bill O Reilly in wake of harassment allegations

Fox News is officially firing Bill O'Reilly after several accusations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior towards woman. This is big news, because Bill O'Reilly had been Fox new's biggest star in its whole 20 years. The New York Times was the first to report that O'Reilly or Fox had paid $13 mil to settle five cases against O'Reilly because of sexual harassment. Advertisers withdrew, and a law firm was asked to investigate. This is significant because this happened only nine months after Fox news founder Roger Ailes was forced out as chairman following a sexual harassment lawsuit by many other women, namely 7. O'Reilly has had several controversial issues over the past ten years.
I think it's upsetting that someone so famous and reputable among news and the media has managed to harass women and it's become such a hush hush thing that now only when other women had the courage to do so, every one else comes forward. Powerful men need to respect women too. No one gets an "I'm famous" pass. This can be synthesized to President Trump's comments about "grabbing women by the p***y."
