Grace Schwall-Pope Francis encourages peace for US and North Korea

On his way back from a visit to Egypt today, the Pope discussed issues concerning foreign affairs. The key issues included refugee camps in Europe and the conflict between the US and North Korea. The two countries are on the brink of a major conflict that could involve nuclear weapons. The Pope suggested that this conflict should be ended quickly and peacefully.

This article was written by Jason Horowitz from the New York Times. I think it's great that the Pope is encouraging peace and I hope that the leaders of the country. This situation is similar to when the US practiced brinkmanship around the time of the Vietnam War in the 1960s. Hopefully a Cuban Missile Crisis level of disaster is not reached.
