Kennedy Waterman - Jimmy John's cashier gives armed robber a side of chill

Wednesday night, at around 9:12 PM, a security camera caught a man robbing a Jimmy John's. What's interesting, however, is how the cashier responded. At first, the robber simply places an order. Then, he takes out a gun and aims it at the cashier. The cashier barely even flinches and proceeds to give the robber the money from the register. His face remains completely neutral, even as the robber puts the gun up against his head. With help from the public, the suspect has been found and arrested.

I highly recommend clicking the link and watching the video because it's so interesting. The article came out Saturday, April 29th, so it's only a few days behind the event. Before reading it, I had seen the video on Facebook. I think the article was written for the general public to hear about this event. To me, its significance is in the fact that the cashier was so stone-faced and "chill" about the whole thing. Robbery is common, but you rarely see the person in charge of the store looking so nonchalant.  Good for him. This relates to Sherman's March, where plenty of houses and plantations were robbed, pillaged, and destroyed.

  1. This is very interesting. I know that wouldn't be my reaction to a robbery.

  3. I saw this yesterday! I was laughing so hard when he took out the whole tray from the register and tried to hand it to him.
