Mikenzie Moon, "Some Top Republicans in Congress Criticize Trump's Refugee Policy"

Summary: On Friday our new President has hated the entry into the U.S. of Syrian refugees for 120 days and 90 days for the citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. This rash decision has angered many people. This article speaks more specifically of important Republican leaders who don't agree with this approach. John McCain believes these actions could be seen as the U.S. turning its back on the Muslim people and interpreters who help us communicate to those counties. "We fear this executive order may do more to help terrorist recruitment than improve our security", commented McCain. Rob Portman says that we should find a different approach and be the America its always been a welcome home for refugees and immigrants.

Analysis/Synthesis: I defiantly don't think that was smart and if what has happened in this past week indicates how these next four years go I'm scared. By not letting refugees in its going against what America was made for refugees. Were all refugees back in our genealogy; our ancestors came for a new home for better opportunities, religious freedom, etc. Its similar to in World War two when many people tried to escape Europe to go to America but immigration was strict. Many lives could have been safe in it wasn't for that, and now the same thing is happening. Whats also horrible is this could possibly make things worse for terrorism and the U.S. relations in the Middle East and other countries.
