6 Years, 6 Scientist by: Jorge Olvera

In 2009 an earth quake hit Italy. It was so terrible. People died and buildings were destroyed! Over 300 hundred people were killed. A huge disaster for everyone in Italy. It marked a horrible day in history. The scientist that did not predict the massive earth quake were commissioned to serve a six year sentence to prison for failing to detect it. Many scientist agree that predicting a earth quake is very difficult, almost impossible.
I understand that many people were hurt and killed  through this, but these men shouldn't this! This event  would've been bad either way. They didn't commit a crime or hurt anybody. Some of their own family was hurt during the earth quake, it wasn't like they got lazy and decided to brush this off their shoulders.

  1. Whoa, whoa, how is that legal? How is that the scientists fault? That's terrible, every one is always looking for someone to blame. Nature is nature and sometimes we can't predict what will happen! Unless there's proof that the scientist knew of this earthquake and intentionally kept it a secret, I don't understand why he's being put in jail.
