T.I the rapper expresses his belief that he can't vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. he believes that women can do any other position well except for the role of presidency. apparently women make rash decisions emotionally and he doesn't trust important decisions to be made by women. he claims that women are not consistent enough to make decisions that will cause repercussions for America. he implies that women's "rash decision making" is bound to set off a nuke. then he continues to slam women by saying that a make believe creature is going to make it the white house before women. after the interview he then apologizes for his comments but decides to admit that he thinks Donald Trump would be a good candidate to improve the economy.
analysis: i think that this rapper needs to think about what is coming out of his mouth. his beliefs that he decided to tell the world through the media are definitley coming back and reflecting on him. he still has the belief that women are not equal to men. though he attempts to cover it up by saying that he thinks women can do anything BUT presidency, it's still clear to us that he believes that we are not yet equal.i think that T.I doesn't know what he's talking about and doesn't have enough facts to back up on his theory that women can't make rational decisions. we've seen gender inequality since the beginning of time and in my opinion, T.I is going backwards rather than forwards. one of the most important forms of gender inequality is the time in history when women were still not allowed to vote. men objected the idea of letting women have a say in the political systems but of course a couple years later they were proved wrong because everyone should have a say who is elected president. who knows, maybe a woman in the presidential office is exactly what we need unlike what T.I said.

I think you are right. The rapper needs to wash his mouth with manners. We still live in a society where women are still not equal and that's sad.
ReplyDeleteWhat T.I said was misogynistic and at the lowest point of ignorance. It's weird that there are still people that think like this out there today
ReplyDeleteObviously what he said was wrong, but I can't believe he hasn't received more backlash for that comment. Blatant sexism like this can't be tolerated.
