Donald Trump claims that, under his leadership, 9/11 never would have happened. He feels that Bush was not to blame for this catastrophe, but he wasn't strict enough about immagration control. Trump is well known for his (slightly excessive) take on immagration into the US, claiming that these men would have never made it on the plane. He also jabs at Jeb Bush, saying that his brother did not properly protect the nation. Trump proceeds to tweet about how Bush's actions against Iraq were a very bad move and how Jeb Bush should stop focusing on defending himself but focusing on trying to overtake Rubio in the election.
I wanted to try and keep this unbiased, but this is absolute garbage. Trump believes that he could prevent a few Arab men from boarding the plane based off of his immagration policy? That's honestly one of the most unwise things I have ever heard. I am sickened by this article, and even more sickened that he continued to jab at the Bush family by saying that America was unsafe under Bush's rule. While America was not reaching its full capabilities at this time, Trump is definitely not one to talk about leadership skills, likability, et cetera. My favorite part is that he claims that he is not racist, yet he says that a couple of Arab men boarding a plane (no matter how truly evil they were) would not even get past American borders? I feel like the threats hidden behind the statement aren't subtle or concealed at all. I truly hope that people are aware that there is genuine danger behind electing this man.
This connects to APUSH, because Americans were not aware or concerned about what was happening in the 1930s and 40s until it was almost too late. Hitler was not viewed as a terrible man, capable of eradicating a race, but unfortunately he charmed too many people into doing some of the most evil deeds that have ever been carried out in human history. No one will be aware how dangerous Trump will be to the nation before it's too late.

How unprofessional, and not to mention rude of him. Taking to twitter to shade previous leaders, seems like something a 15 year old would do. I would not want the future leader of our country to be one who deals with issues by taking to social media.
ReplyDeleteI like your connection to history with the "lobster effect" and how you talked about how the men from 9/11 would have never even made it past the American borders under Trump's control. He sounds like a terrible person (and leader) for taking bad about previous presidents.
ReplyDeleteI don't trust a grown adult who 'subtweets'. That just proves that you're immature and don't know ho to handle things professionally. (Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)
