Terror attack prevented in LA - Faith Wangermann

In an article by Jennifer Medina, published by the New York Times on April 29, 2019, an incident is detailed in which federal authorities in Los Angeles say that they "had thwarted a domestic terror plot by an American military veteran." The suspect was seeking retribution for the recent attacks in New Zealand and aimed to unleash an attack similar to the one in Las Vegas, especially targeting white nationalists, Jews, churches and military bases. The suspect was arrested Friday night. The people the suspect believed to be his collaborators were actually an undercover officer and a confidential informant. This operation is similar to those of the Cold War, with undercover officers uncovering secret plots of a force that was fiercely hated; then, communism; now, terrorism. Terrorism originating in our own country is as serious a problem as terrorism committed by immigrants.

  1. This is so disgusting and despicable to be committed, by all people, a former soldier. Thank God they found the person who planned to commit such a heinous crime. It seems, as of late, that there has been some awful call and response of terrorist attacks echoing all across the globe.
