Donald Trump calls for ‘total and complete shutdown’ of Muslims entering U.S.

Analysis: Donald Trump wants a complete cutoff of inflow of Muslims into the United States. He believes the campaign justifies this discrimination by saying that large segments of the Muslim population bear “great hatred towards Americans.” Trump’s statement comes a day after President Obama addressed the nation to discuss terrorism and warned against letting the war on ISIS be defined as a “war between America and Islam.” Obama specifically said,"ISIL does not speak for Islam,” the commander in chief said. “They are thugs and killers, part of a cult of death, and they account for a tiny fraction of more than a billion Muslims around the world — including millions of patriotic Muslim Americans who reject their hateful ideology.”

 

Summary: This display of islamophobia is horrific. How are people actually taking him seriously? He is a joke, a racist and down right unintelligent and ignorant. How is he going to ban a whole race just for a portion of that race's actions? Terrorism has no religion nor race. For you to categorize on race with on specific racist view clearly shows how closed minded you truly are. And to think there are people actually out there supporting him scares me. For him to oppose Obama's truthful AND logical statement shows his stubbornness and incapability to see the other side of the story.
