Recent reports have said that one of the world's most wanted drug lords, "El Chapo", has "declared war" on ISIS. Apparently he sent a encrypted email to the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr Baghdadi, threatening to wage war after one of his cartel's shipments was destroyed. In some not so choice language "El Chapo" made clear that he and his organization was not going to let ISIS push them around.
I find it so funny that a drug lord, of all people, would declare war on ISIS. So many people are angry and all for their own reasons but the point is that they are upset. I honestly think that with all of these people enraged by attacks and killings in their home areas ISIS should really reconsider who they think they are up against. The amount of deaths by ISIS this year alone is reason enough for a feeling of complete disdain. There is no way that people are going to just roll over and take the heat. If something isn't done, someone- like a dangerous drug lord- will step up and take matters into his own hands. It's important for people to be brave and not let fear dictate their actions. Too much has happened for us to be able to just ignore this impending crisis.

ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of World War II when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and a prominent figure said, "I'm afraid we've just awakened a sleeping giant." With all of ISIS' attacks they're making an immense amount of enemies which can all compare to a "sleeping giant", even the drug lord.
El Chapo is in jail, so this won't happen.
