First Saudi Arabian women elected into public council. This is the first time women could vote and run as candidates. Previously women were not allowed to drive, and dependent upon a male in their family to make all of their major decisions. Women were encouraged to attend university and encouraged to take employment.
Other countries have recently made these advancements, and it has gone on to further progress women's rights in those countries. This is a big step towards a new tomorrow in Saudi Arabia, and for he world.
