Summary: Saturday Night in Pennsylvania, a man was shot to death in a Walmart. The man walked in and started pointing a gun at people, so the authorities were called. The man was asked to drop his gun but instead he pointed at officers. They then shot him
In the chest where he was pronounced dead.
Analysis: This article shows police protecting the population rather than brutalizing. While I don't know the full details, it sounds like police most likely followed protocol, seeing as the man was armed and pointed a gun at officers which would lead them to believe they were in danger. While I don't completely condone killing instead of simply disabling suspects, this case looks a lot different than the cases where police officers have killed unarmed young men. It is also great, that nobody was harmed in the process. It also makes us look at our gun policies when a man can easily walk into a Walmart and endanger people's lives.
Yes I agree. If the person wouldn't drop the gun, there is no telling what his next actions could have been.
ReplyDeleteWe always do the same articles! This story is horrible and you're right in saying that there is obviously something wrong with American gun laws. Something must change!

I mean the police did what they had to do, he was a threat, and his life was obvi. worth less than the possible lifes of many others he could have taken.
