The time has come for the final debate between the multitude of presidential candidates coming from the GOP for this year, and this one seemed about the same as, well, every other GOP debate they've held this year. Basically it can be summed up as Donald Trump saying some dumb stuff about ISIS, and being rebutted by the other candidates with some different, yet equally stupid, stuff. That's really it.
I feel like the quality of both the actual debate, and the candidates taking place in said debate has steadily declined in quality since the creation of our government. I mean, just imagine what it would have been to experience a debate the likes of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates. You would get to actually experience educated men duke it out on the fields of actual, legitimate arguments rather than the clowns who are representing the Republican party today. That's really what they are, clowns. I've watched most of the GOP debates and the thing I've really noticed from them is just how repetitive they are.

They are repetitive. I think all politicians in general these days are like that.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! George Washington didn't have to campaign or anything. He was president because the people wanted him to be. I feel like now the presidential elections are all just for show and none of it is real.

ReplyDeleteAgreed. I once saw a post that compared a certain candidate to "that one kid who didn't read the materials and had to fake their way through the discussion" and that's honestly so accurate it hurts.
ReplyDeletei agree, it would be a lot more interesting tot watch genuinely educated men debate than others who don't know what they're doing.
