Schools in Los Angeles were set to reopen Wednesday after several board members received an email threat. More than 2,700 officers were involved in the search of weapons, explosives, and other dangers of more than 1,500 school sites. It was concluded that the schools were safe and that they could resume the following morning. Officials say that they do not know who sent the threat or where it came from, but the FBI has determined that the threat is not credible. Similar threats were delivered in NY but no schools were closed.
Analysis: I believe that the Los Angeles school district was right to do what they did. It was great that they took the initiative to make sure that the students were safe, especially after the many incidents and terrorist attacks that have happened recently. If the threats were ignored and it turned out to be real, there could have been many casualties, something not needed especially after the most recent terrorist incident in California.

This is very sad, however I'm glad that the Los Angeles school district took initiative to keep their students safe. "Randi Thompson"
