in this article, an interviewer has a conversation with one of the moms of the victims that was gunned down 3 years ago in the tragedy of sandy hook. the mother talked about how this time of year is when the memories start flooding back on how things used to be. ever since the shooting a support group was made to help the families of the victims and let them know that they are not alone and promote safety across schools in america. a high school in Oklahoma was so moved by the idea of this that they wanted to do something to help and were granted 10 thousand dollars to put their ideas into motion.
its depressing to know that families of the victims have to live with the pain of the tragedy for years to come and theres not much we can do to help them. i am very pleased to hear that to this day sandy hook has not been forgotten and there are organizations being created to help the different causes. this huge tragedy impacted america in huge ways just like 9/11 did. of course the attacks were 2 totally different things but still left the same amount of permanent damage. i hope that america continues doing its best to heal from the awful attacks that have happened in our history.

I agree. It's good that people have connected over tragedy, and in a more long-term way than most other tragedies.
