This article from CNN features many charts and graphs that give an overview of U.S. shootings and gun violence. One chart shows that you are most at risk for an active shooter incident at businesses (73%) and schools (39%). Another chart shows that there are more guns owned by civilians in the U.S. than any other country. For every 100 people in the U.S. , there are 89 guns in possession. The last graph compares American death by firearms on U.S. soil and American deaths by terrorism. There are 406, 496 deaths by American gun violence and only 3,380 American deaths are caused by terrorism.
This article gives the American a very clear view of a major problem we face in America today. But, it isn't presented as an opinion or as an argument, it's presented as fact. These statistics can be evidence and examples that back-up the, what seems to be, a regular conversation regarding mass shootings in the U.S. This can relate back to the Second Amendment in the United States Constitution, "the right to keep and bear arms." We see this every time a conversation about American's gun rights appears.

I don't understand why people use the Second Amendment to defend the belief that nothing should be done about this obvious issue of gun control. I think making gun control stricter is more important than following the Second Amendment, especially if it saves the lives of innocent people. -Claudia Anthony
