This week, Citadel, a military college had released footage of military students wearing white pillow cases that resemble the exact costumes that the Ku Klux Klan had worn during the years after the Civil War. The KKK was a group of radical racists, who believed in the segregation and non-existence of African Americans. Many people are calling this, "disturbing" as it brings back the dark period in American history. The school President Gen. John W. Rosa says that these photos do not reflect the morals and structure of the college and the students.
The KKK brings many feelings of hate and racism. As these photos hit the news, the importance of racism is still an issue in America. Whether the students' ambitions were to offend or not, the KKK still has an impact on the African Americans in the United States. Racial equality is an important factor when living in the United States.

I do agree, but the issue of racism has definitely improved over the past years. This is ridiculous that people would do this trying to be funny or get attention.

I feel like in some ways racism has improved, but I believe its still there, it may just be disguised in a way that people dont see it as racism.
