Serena Williams is going after the Russian Tennis Chief for his "racist and sexist" remarks about her and her sister Venus Williams. When referring to the tennis stars on a late Friday night TV show he calls them "the william's brothers" Serena didn't take this comment lightly at all. She says, " I thought that in a way they were bullying." The chief was banned for a year and finned $25,000 dollars for his hurtful comments. Serena is very happy about the outcome and thinks that is punishment was very well deserved.
I think that this "little joke" that was made about the William's sisters was very uncalled for. Sometimes people take things a little too far and don't think about the people they are talking about feeling's. Today we still deal with racism and sexism on a daily basis and I think that this is very sad and it really needs to end for everyone to continue to grow. Many people in the past have dealt with racism and sexism. The African American community dealt with it a lot in the past especially and women dealt with sexism everyday in the past.

I agree with your analysis. Serena Williams, and anyone for that matter, has worked way to hard to put up with crap like that. The Chief's comments were ignorant and I'm glad that Serena stood up for her and her sister.
