Shrek Creater Uses Horrible and Racist Language Then Immediately Apologizes - Paige McManaman

Terry Rossio has apologized for using the n-word in a tweet. The Shrek screenwriter said "Anti-vax is equivalent to calling someone a n**er and makes as little sense" Rossio then apologized in three tweets after receiving major backlash. "You can't make a point against hate speech and reference actual words of hate speech," he tweeted. "That was insensitive and ignorant." said Rossio after he contradicted himself.

This article was very surprising and concerning for me to read. This kind of language and using the n-word in my opinion is never appropriate even though i do understand that it came from a state of maybe being careless or frustrated. However that should never be an excuse. The context that it was used in and any context that the n-word is used in i believe is never okay and it is also very offensive. It should never come out of someone’s. Especially since it came out of a children’s’ movie creater is upsetting.
