Two women have recently received Nobel Prizes in science Donna Strickland won the prize in physics and Frances H. Arnold won the award for chemistry. Donna Strickland’s work with high-intensity laser pulses and Frances H. Arnold’s work with enzymes and proteins progressed science while breaking the stigma around women in science and adding to the number of women awarded Nobel Prizes in chemistry and physical.
Achievements such as these progress women's rights even further proving that women play a big role in science. From years in the past the shortage of women in science was too large creating a stigma of female scientists. To have role models for young women to look up to now in the field of science is a big accomplishment.
I am glad that women are getting recognized for all their hard work, and I hope to see more and more of this happening in the future.

This is incredible that these women are being recognized for their work and efforts. I hope that this continues and all people are able to achieve these types of awards, regardless of the race, gender or ethnicity.
