Indiana High School Football Player Charged With Murdering Pregnant Classmate

16-year-old, Aaron Trejo, was charged with fatally stabbing his 17-year-old classmate, Breana Rouhselang, while she was 6 months pregnant with their child. Trejo admitted that he had stabbed her because he assumed it would be the quickest way, and evidence shows of a strangling by a scarf. Breana was found in a dumpster covered in a black trash bag with multiple stab wounds and bruising from being choked. Authorities say that Trejo stated that she had waited too long to tell him and that he had to take action since it was too late to get an abortion. Trejo confessed to the crime to the police and was charged as an adult for feticide.

I think this small-town tragedy is really hard to grasp. The fact that such a brutal act can be committed because of something such as a pregnancy and to only be thought of for only a week is crazy to me. Each day the world proves to be a more dangerous place than we think it is and crimes like these remind us that we can never take too many precautions to ensure that our lives are protected. This event reminds me of Chris Watts, the man who murdered his two daughters and pregnant wife. These are both inhumane killings.
