This article states that The Trump Administration has plans to change the environmental laws around clean water and protecting it. These plans would weaken the laws in place that are protecting the clean water around the US. While his plan does not suit the needs of those in need of cleaner water and environmentalists that have been working for stronger laws, it suits those that are involved in agriculture, real estate, and rural landowners. This plan would offer more protection towards land rights instead of implementing it onto cleaner water. Some are stating that this plan is going to move the country backward environmentally, even though many would say conditions have gotten worse and environmental laws need to be stronger.
I think that this plan isn't necessarily the best solution to the problems at hand. The Trump Administration did not really attempt to create a compromise that would suit landowners and those who care about clean water. From Trump's past, it seems that he has a bias of what the country's priority needs to be and is not taking into account the needs of the people. This situation is similar to the conditions before the presidency of George H.W. Bush and how many did not care for the environment before he implemented laws that overall improved the wellbeing of America.
