Tonya Couch has been sent back to Tarrant County after being arrested with her son, Ethan Couch, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The pair had been missing for a month since a video was put out of Ethan playing beer pong after missing a probation appointment. In 2013, Couch was convicted after he killed 4 people in a drunk driving accident. Since being arrested in Mexico, where he remains, unlike his mother, he still has his 10 year probation sentence, but has a hearing to move his case to adult court, where he could potentially spent those 10 years of probation in a state prison.
As for Tonya, she was deported and flown to Los Angeles where she promised not to fight her return to Texas. Her bail is set for $1 million and faces 1-2 years in prison.
While I applaud the lawyer (Scott Brown) for an incredible job in helping Ethan evade prison with an affluenza case, but the crime he committed is severe and should be treated as such. It is all too often that the spoiled child gets away with trouble and the parents do everything in their power to keep it that way, even if that means breaking the laws themselves.

I feel immensely sorry for the man he left paralyzed, and the family and loved ones of those whose lives he ended. It's tragic to think he may not feel any remorse over his actions, he may never come face to face with the same hurt he inflicted on those with his thoughtless actions. Just because I have to sythesize, this kind of (not really) relates to worker's rights being violated, and the big corporations and "affluenza" corrupted leaders would never meet the children or poor employees whose lives they made harsher.
