As the last Democratic Debate took place in South Carolina, candidates Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and Martin O'Malley, took time to address some topics surrounding the U.S. today. Some of the subjects they discussed were health care, gun control, Wall Street, and the deployment of soldiers to the Middle East. Soon, the discussion started to become more of a conversation between Sanders and Clinton as they tried to get back at each other for points addressed by one another and O'Malley somewhat fell behind as he was not able to fully keep up throughout the debate.

I believe that the candidates debate is similar to the Lincoln-Douglas Debates that also discussed pertinent subjects impacting the lives of people during that time period. However, I believe that the Sanders, Clinton, and O'Malley should not have left some major topics out of the debate like immigration since it was only slightly discussed by O'Malley at the end.
