UK reports Zika cases as El Salvador urged to lift abortion ban over virus risk -Lia Kerkman 6

Just this week three travelers have been infected with the Zika virus. All three cases have been associated with traveling to Columbia, Suriname, and Guyana, and is not linked to being passes from person to person. The U.S. CDC recommended postponing travel to several countries including Mexico, northern South America, countries in Africa, and islands in the Pacific. The disease is caused by misiquito bites and has several side effects, and can be especially dangerous to pregnant women.
This sounds very serious, I haven't heard of this virus until now. It doesn't sound like it has taken any lives yet, but it definitely has the potential to. It's being looked into even more after the return of the British travelers. They're looking to find prevention and a cure, for now it's just best that everybody follow the precautions.
