women asked not to get pregnant for 2 years- Julianne Swaykus 6

With the rapid spread of a virus called Zika, El Salvador has urged women not to get pregnant for about 2 years in extreme precaution of avoiding birth defects. These seem to be linked to the  mosquito-borne illness. "The World Health Organization says at least 20 countries or territories in the region, including Barbados and Bolivia, Guadeloupe and Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Panama, have registered transmission of the virus." The hardest-hit country is Brazil with 1 million people having contracted the virus.
This is alarming because they will be loosing 2 years of babies, thus, in the future, going to mess up the normal flow of schooling systems. This is also discouraging to women who were wanting to start a family or add onto their family.

  1. There's always adoption, but I get that people feel the need to have their own kids
