There are so many fake and made up holidays that exist, yet we don't acknowledge them. These fake holidays range from, National granola bar day, National hug day, National hat day, etc. Nobody actually celebrates these holidays, but they are making an impact on social media. Could these fake holidays spark sales in companies?
After the granola bar companies posted about it being National Granola bar day, many people took a picture of themselves eating granola bars with a hashtag #Nationlagranolabarday. Sparking the sales and advertisement in Chewy's granola bars. Most holidays that we celebrate are created from the impact of history. Such as this last week, Martin Luther King Junior Day. All the holidays that we celebrate were created because of historical events. Except from religious holidays and such.

I've always thought those made up holidays were really funny, but I'd never thought about them being taken advantage of and used as marketing ploys. It sounds like a good idea
ReplyDeleteWow so interesting how they have affected our society. AMAYA AVILA PD8

DeleteHonestly, and I don't mean to be a party pooper, but I really don't think we need more holidays. I am perfectly fine celebrating granola bars day-to-day, I don't need a special day for me and my Cliff Bar.
ReplyDeleteIf you can make a granola day holiday, you can make one out of anything. It seems like everyone is really money hungry these days.
ReplyDeleteIf these are celebrated, they should be off-work/off-school days. Wouldn't mind having a few more of those.
