Islamophobia to Rule the Nation? // Uriel Cruz, Period 6

  As Donald Trump's South Carolinian supporters waited for him to speak, they were asked what they thought about Trump's recent controversial idea. Trump's newest idea suggests that the US should isolate itself from incoming Muslim immigrants completely. No Muslims entering America period. You can obviously see how morally wrong and impossible that is, but for some reason his supporters can't do the same. Not one supporter interviewed by CNN disagreed with Trump's idea. They all agreed with him but no one seemed to be able to make up their mind or have a logical reason why. One supporter said that Muslims should be screened extensively but hesitated when asked if the US should block out Muslim immigrants completely. He paused and looked around before answering as if he was worried that people would judge him if he said no. Even though his idea sounded like it could actually be done and wasn't as strict as Trump's, he ended up saying yes. 
  Trump is using people's insecurities and fears to win his way to the top. He is scaring people into supporting him. He isn't making America great again, he's going to destroy it. 
  Trump reminds me of the Civil War. He brainwashes all of these scared people into supporting and spreading beliefs around. He is the master and they are the slaves. The country could split again if this Republican wins the election. A lot of people have either seriously or jokingly said to have thought of leaving the country if Trump wins. He's growing and he may not be able to be stopped.
