Swastika found on Jewish fraternity- Hannah Clifford 5th Period
http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/05/us/emory-university-swastikas/index.html?c=us
At Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, multiple swastikas were sprayed onto the walls of a Jewish fraternity house. They were found on Sunday, just hours after Yom Kippur (one of the holiest holidays in Judaism). The police are investigating this vandalism.
This can relate to so many events in our U.S. history. Not only are the swastikas reminders of the holocaust, but they are also reminders of prejudice in general. Just like the Germans were prejudice against Jews, homosexuals, and so many others, we too were unjust. We still are. Whether we are oppressing slaves, or denying marriage to homosexuals, there will always be some form of social prejudice in our country. These swastikas are just proof of this fact.
