Critics, Bobby Jindal and Jim Talent, bash President Obama on his leadership. They vaguely criticize the actions of the president as dishonest and claim he has failed his mission as Commander in Chief. Before he was elected, Obama promised an annual update of the well-being of our country's affairs with other powerful nations. However, these updates did not happen and the writers of the article believe the President has failed us because of that. They also blame Obama for the intensity of the ISIS threat. Doesn't this sound fairly familiar? After the tragedy of 9/11, George Bush was being watched like a movie. People wanted to see his reaction and retaliation to the terrorism. Whatever action he took would be ridiculed by the people. Why can't people trust the leaders they put in office. They don't just sit in the oval office with their feet up on the desk drinking coffee all day; our presidents have a repletion of responsibilities and if a small statement on the terms of coherency between the U.S. and other countries is forgotten about or put on the back-burner then it should be okay. Give President Barack Obama a break.

I completely agree. Obama wasn't made any different then anyone! He's HUMAN. All humans make mistakes. And freaking Bush...he was the one who got us started in the Middle East in the first place.
ReplyDeleteObama is a better president than Bush anyways, and he's had to put up with so much crap from everywhere. He's doing his best, but he can only do so much

I think people are constantly blaming the people in office for events and problems they didn't cause, problems that arose from previous presidents and they expect so much. You can't expect someone to completely fix a problem that has started before they got there. I agree, it does seem like he's always the one to blame, which is not right!
ReplyDeleteWhen things go bad for a country, people tend to look at it's leaders to blame. This can go for any circumstance like a school or even a classroom. The leaders reflect the group and if people have such a hard time accepting their leader then I think they should just get a new one.
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't even think to compare the two presidents. I can see the similarities. Obama is in a really tough situation and he is only human. He is going to do the best he can, but he is bound to make some more mistakes. We must have grace in these difficult times.
