Angel Pineda - 1st Pd. Universal Studios Florida Coaster stuck on hill

Just earlier tonight, a hit rollercoaster ride known as "Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit" located at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, FL was experiencing difficulties in which caused the ride vehicle to be stuck on top of the first steep hill with fellow riders on the ride. The riders were facing up with their backs facing down the loading station. The riders were stuck on the hill for approximately 45 minutes to an hour long as they were instructed not to move and stay seated. Thankfully, the Orlando Fire Department fortunately saved the riders from the vehicles as the ride has been shut down temporarily as park officials try to find out the cause of the safety glitch that occurred.

ANALYSIS: I've rode this ride before (amazing ride by the way) and it has a history of technical difficulties, but this is the first time something like this has happened to the ride. Thankfully no one was hurt as this could've ended in a much worse scenario. Hopefully, Universal figures out a solution and opens the ride again. It's one of their most popular rides and one of my personal favorites.

  1. I've been to Universal Studios before also, and knowing that I could have been one of those people stuck on that ride is pretty unnerving. It's good that no one was injured, because in the worst case scenario, someone could have fallen out of their seat.

  2. I wonder if "not moving" was the best situation as well as why it took so long for emergency help to arrive. People hanging upside down could have some major blood amounts flow to their head in an unhealthy manor.

More and more often do I hear about roller coaster technical problems and freak accidents. After learning of the Texas Giant death months ago, I've held off going to Six Flags again. Now, I read about this and I'm even more skeptical to get another roller coaster ever again.
