Dad charged after 2-year-old shoots herself

A two year old girl shot and killed herself in North Carolina today. She was under the care of her Aunt and Grandmother at her home. She was exploring as all young babies do, when she found a .22 gun under the couch. She got curious and shot herself in the head. She was rushed to the Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The gun was her fathers, who already was on warrant charges. He is charged with involuntary manslaughter.
This child was only 2 years old. She did not have the proper chance to live and explore life. Why? Why do we have guns where children can reach them? Why? Have we not learned anything from school shootings? Children take their parents guns and do horrible things with them. As we can see some accidental and some with cruel intent. R.I. P young soul. R. I. P.
obviously, adults are not doing a good job at keeping their personal and dangerous possessions hidden. In my current event the kid took the gun from his parents and did cruel things on purpose, but this is different. A 2 year old does not know any better. Adults need to learn to lock these items up because it is causing serious problems around the country.
