Ohio plans to use a combined use of two drugs never tried before in the U.S. to put a child killer to rest. Ronald Phillips killed and raped his girlfriend's three year old daughter. The state plans to use a combination of Midazolam, a sedative, and hydromorphone. Included in the untested backup execution method, Ohio State will be the first prison to put a prisoner to death.
The death penalty to me has always struck as a unreasonable method, but in this case this man did rape and kill a three year old so the cause seems to be justified. I think testing out new things always is a good thing. Who knows, this new injection may be completely painless and efficient, this can't possibly be a bad thing. The man is going to die either way.

I find this story very interesting. I think that this killer needs to be put to justice, no matter what factors are involved.
